| Principal Technical Advisor | Required Qualifications Graduate degree in related area, e.g., public health (in addition to clinical degree i.e. nursing, midwifery, medicine) 8-10 years in similar position, experience supervising staff Specialty area within maternal and newborn health programming in one (or more) of the following areas: clinical capacity-building, quality improvement strategies (including use of programmatic data for decision-making), clinical mentorship, team-based training, simulation training, introduction, delivery, and scale of evidence-based interventions in antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and/or newborn care, including small and vulnerable newborn care. Experience with new business development, including writing and reviewing proposals and leading technical design of programs. Experience with USAID-funded reproductive health projects and/or other donor funded projects. Comprehensive understanding of current global health funding priorities and players. Experience representing organization(s) in key global and regional technical meetings and committees, and participating in international conferences and meetings. Experience assisting health systems to adapt, adopt, and scale the application of global perinatal guidelines. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to communicate technical content verbally, in writing, and through dynamic presentations. Proficient oral and written English language skills. Ability to travel up to 25% as needed Preferred Qualifications 10 years in similar position French language skills, design and development of clinical training materials and approaches. |
